Asus finally announced the new generation of Asus Eee PCs. We reported aspects and tidbits of the new Intel Atom based Eee PCs, but now Asus has revealed the Asus Eee PC 901, Eee PC 1000 and Eee PC 1000 (H) officially.

The announcement focuses on the new extended battery life, larger screens, and solid state discs. We still need to wait for datasheets of the 901, 1000 and 1000(H) to see the available configurations. The 1000(H) can be configured with a HDD. The Asus Eee 1000 apparently supports a 40GB SSD configuration
